Tatreez 2 [4 weeks]

This 4-week, Level 2 class series is part of POT's mission to preserve culture through craft.

In Tatreez 2, students will enhance their tatreez skills and apply what they have previously learned to embroidering wearable garments. Students will receive a brief re-introduction to cross-stitch, learn how to apply waste canvas, study traditional designs to create their own pattern and finally embroider their own canvas tote bag. 

Jenna Aliya Hanson is a textile artist based in Los Angeles residing on stolen Tongva land. A descendant of Nakba survivors, Jenna aims to connect with her heritage by practicing the art of Palestinian tatreez. 

This is a Level 2 series. It is required to have previously taken an introductory tatreez workshop, sign up here to take our one-time introductory tatreez class.
