Queer Throwing [Echo Park]
Queer Throwing [Echo Park]
Queer Nights are happening every month in Echo Park with Manu!
This is a one-time, 2-hour introductory wheel throwing class intended for the Queer Community. No experience required.
Manu Garcia (Manu Del Mar Ceramics) is a LA-based community teaching artist who teaches ceramics to children and adults. Manu believes in the active learning approach to teaching, in which lessons are hands-on and where students discover their own creativity through trial and error, problem-solving, and self-discovery.
Manu's work focuses on clay narrative storytelling about their current surroundings and past experiences. Follow them on Instagram!
All materials, firing and glazing included. This class includes keeping a piece! BYOB!
These workshops are intended to be a safe space for ALL queer identifying folks. We do not condone gatekeeping or policing of identities.
