Iranian Pottery Nights

Iranian Pottery Nights

           آزادی برای ایران

POT is Iranian-woman owned, and we offer these classes as nights of being in community with one another via pottery. These classes are for anyone interested in Iranian arts and culture. We are also a safe space for queer and marginalized individuals within our own communities.

You do not need to know how to speak, read or write Farsi to take these classes. ALL are welcome.

The ONLY class taught in Farsi will be on 7/25 with Zahra Zamani. This will be a Farsi-speaking wheel throwing class. But you do NOT need to be fluent, just wanting to practice and try!

Every class is unique and beginners friendly, please look at the time slot you choose for the type of class it is. All projects will be based on Iranian arts and culture. Classes will be taught in English unless specifically listed as Farsi.

We aim to be a hub for solidarity amongst progressive MENA community members and those who feel marginalized within our own communities - like ethnic minorities, queer members, etc.

In solidarity, 50% of ALL proceeds from Iranian Pottery Nights will go towards HEAL Palestine.

No experience required. BYOB. For ages 16+

Hosted at POT Gardens: 3228 W. Jefferson Blvd.

Fun!

This was my first time trying pottery. It was very fun and the instructor was super friendly! Highly recommend.

As a first-timer, I had no idea what to do or expect. The studio was super vibrant and fun. The instructor that night, Emon, was extremely warm, welcoming, and patient with everyone in the room. It was obvious everyone was having a great time, and the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I was amazed at how attentive and accommodating he was with everyone in the room, making each person feel as though they were getting 1:1 support, attention, and encouragement. A great space with loving community -- will definitely be back and will invite friends!
