Handbuilding Through Transitions

Taught by Kaylee and Thilini, this workshop will offer a healing space to work with clay and process life changes/transitions, whether that may be growth, loss, transformation. There will be a guided project using clay to embody the transition in your life with space to discuss and experience community.

Using handbuilding techniques (pinch pot and/or coil), you will create a container or vase. There will be a demo of different techniques for you to use. Students will be encouraged to make a shape that they feel speaks to their process of change or to follow the sample, if they would like.

No prior experience is required for this workshop.

Kaylee and Thilini are artists and therapists who studied art therapy. This class is not therapy but is a way to explore healing methods and conversations in a non-clinical space.
