Día De Los Muertos: Clay Skulls

In this 3 hr workshop artist Liz Navarro will guide participants through the process of making a personalized clay skull (calaverita) to honor your loved ones that have passed.

This is a beginner friendly bilingual class where Liz will introduce participants to basic hand building techniques like pinching and coiling to sculpt a calaverita (clay skull) and then decorate using clay flowers and colorful underglazes. The pieces will be fired and coated with a layer of clear glaze to make them part of your ofrenda for many years to come.

Both English and Spanish speakers are encouraged to join this class.
